Canada's only registered floating pub, moored off Protection Island across from downtown Nanaimo since 1989. Reached by a 10-minute passenger ferry, it's a genuinely fun outing — classic pub food, local island craft beers, harbour views from every seat, and a small fishing hole in the patio floor where kids can try their luck. The ferry connection and the island's unhurried community of golf carts and gardens make it feel like a mini adventure.
