Compact but well-curated museum in downtown's Vancouver Island Conference Centre. Highlights include the award-winning replica coal mine exhibit, Snuneymuxw First Nation cultural displays, and rotating feature galleries that change three times yearly. The museum also manages the Bastion, a Hudson's Bay Company post from 1853 located on the waterfront.
