About

Popular freshwater lake with a 5.5km loop trail through second-growth forest. The trail is well-groomed gravel with one steep knoll on the west side. Two south-facing sandy beaches have swimming platforms in summer and the lake is stocked with rainbow trout. Connects to Mount Benson and Westwood Ridge trail networks for longer adventures.

Tips

The lake loop is great for runners and is mostly flat except one hill
Swimming beaches have floating docks in summer
Off-leash dog area is under the power lines on the south side
Electric motors and non-powered boats are permitted

Know Before You Go

Dogs must be leashed on the main trail
Gates open at 6am and lock at 11pm
Parking lot was recently expanded but fills on hot summer days
No lifeguards at swimming areas
