About

A 70-acre seaside woodland estate on an oceanside bluff above the Strait of Georgia, Milner Gardens was once a private retreat that hosted Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Managed by Vancouver Island University, the property features old-growth Douglas fir and cedar forest, over 400 varieties of rhododendron, groomed garden paths, and the historic Milner House with a tea room overlooking the water. Peak rhododendron bloom is typically the first two weeks of May.
