One of Vancouver Island's most popular beaches with nearly 2km of sandy shoreline. At low tide the beach extends hundreds of metres offshore, creating vast warm tidal flats perfect for wading. The park also has forest trails through old-growth Douglas fir and a large campground.

Day-use parking may require a BC Parks vehicle permit in summer
Campground reservations fill months in advance for summer
The beach can be very windy — bring a jacket
